More About Karen Stamper
Artist, teacher, traveler describe me well. I was born in Yorkshire. I attended Art College in Bradford then headed south-always with my sketchbook - to far sunnier countries, for about 10 years, eventually settling in New Zealand before returning to the UK.
My paper collage/paintings come from my travels, particularly around the Mediterranean, Morocco and India. More recently I have been drawn to the urban shoreline of the UK, this works well so with the concertina format.
As well as being an artist I have taught art at secondary level for many years. When I am not in my studio or out sketching you can find me on my yoga mat. I practice and teach Iyengar yoga,
