More About Tina Craig

Hi! I’m Tina Craig. I have been quilting since 1990 and try to challenge myself to learn something new with every quilt. As an unemployed newlywed looking for something to do, I took a beginner
sampler quilt class at a local quilt shop and haven’t stopped stitching yet.
When we moved to a seaside town in southern Rhode Island in 1997, Seaside Stitches was born. Back then, I was making and selling paper-pieced quilt block lapel pins. Now, I prefer to teach you how to
make your own! (I'm fully vaccinated and available for in-person workshops!)
I specialize in precision piecing (foundation paper piecing and English paper piecing) and domestic machine quilting. I enjoy learning new techniques and have even stretched myself to try art quilting.
Thankfully, virtual workshops have opened up a whole new world to quilt teachers and students.
I'm available for guild programs. My trunk shows are engaging and fun. Every quilt I show has a story. Most of my workshops are technique-based, so students leave with knowledge that translates to many future projects.
I am a member of three local quilt guilds and the Modern Quilt Guild. I have been honored to have won awards in local and regional shows including Best of Show at Ninigret Quilters 2013 & 2017 and Narragansett Bay Quilters Assoc 2016. My work has also been exhibited at Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, World Quilt New England, and QuiltCon Together 2021.
I am enrolled as a Candidate in the NACQJ Judges Certification Program. If your guild needs a judge, I’m available!
I have a wonderful husband, two awesome adult children who live too far away and a beautiful 1-year old grandson.
