CourseCraft's editor has a special type of block that uses Markdown. Markdown is an easy to read and easy to edit markup language. It's also pretty simple to learn! Your text will look a little funny until you hit the preview button at the top right of the editor. In preview mode, you'll be able to preview the lesson just as a course participant would see it.
