Welcome back, everyone! I've really missed teaching Skills & Drills online. It's back and better than ever.
Joining Skills & Drills Club is free.
Once you have joined, you can pick which modules you would like to purchase and work on!
As of May 2020, I have three modules available:
- Front Crosses (last run in May 2019)
- Distance & Layering (new for 2020!)
- 6 Skills, 6 Drills (new May 2020)
I will be adding new modules in the coming months. Some are "oldies but goodies" from previous Skills & Drills classes. Some will be new material. Some will be a mix. Each module will be centered around specific handling skills.
A Modular Course - Pick the Skills You Want!
Once enrolled, you will see the available modules and their prices. You can add as many or as few modules as you like on your own schedule. Module price depends on the number of lessons.
Frequently Asked Questions
So enrolling is free, but the lessons cost money?
Correct! Membership in Skills & Drills Club is free and you may choose to pay for whichever modules you would like to work on with your dog(s).
What agility equipment do I need for these modules?
Skills & Drills uses between 2-8 jumps and 1-2 tunnels. Most of the time, you will be good with 4 jumps and 1 tunnel. No tunnels? A cone, tree, or barrel to wrap can work in a pinch!
What technical equipment do I need to be a working participant?
You will need a way to record video (most people use their phone or tablet) and a way to post that video.
I highly recommend using YouTube to post your videos. We have a step-by-step guide on how to do it. (This includes how to make your videos private if you don't want all of YouTube watching.)
You may post your videos to your personal Facebook page if you have problems getting YouTube to work for you.
How long do I have to post homework videos?
Short answer: One week per lesson, plus 2 weeks extra. (So a 6 lesson module is 8 weeks of time.)
Long answer: To be honest, it's hard to monitor everyone's expiration dates. Do your best to stick to about 1 week per lesson plus 2 weeks extra... but if life happens, don't feel bad about posting a couple homework assignments late. I probably won't notice! :-)
Can I work more than one dog?
Yes! But for videos, only submit one dog per lesson.
I still have a question, how can I contact you?
I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Send me an email at email@example.com.
