A four-week rest circle
The garden gate is open.
Open up your senses.
Connect with the season.
Listen to your inner garden.
It's time to rest.
Here we are, at this moment in time.
Perhaps you are feeling a little worn out or exhausted from all that you are holding. Maybe, like me, your summer travel plans have been shelved. And with all the "staying at home" we have been doing, you might even be feeling a little out of sync with the expansive energy of the summer season.
Why not give yourself the gift of a summer retreat - in your own home, on your own time.
Just as you are.
The Summer Retreat is a four-week experience of rest & restoration.

What is Daring to Rest™ yoga nidra?
To rest is not self-indulgent, to rest is to prepare to give the best of ourselves, and perhaps, most importantly, arrive at a place where we are able to understand what we have already been given.
Yoga nidra is a sleep-based meditation technique in which your mind is gently guided to a state of relaxation.
It feels like a nap. Some say that a 30-minute practice of yoga nidra feels like two hours of deep sleep in your body.
The Daring to Rest method is a feminine approach to using yoga nidra for health and healing. The approach combines guided meditation, female empowerment, self-discovery, and other techniques to help women connect to their wisdom and reclaim rest.
Inviting women to experience deep rest helps them feel safe in their bodies and gives them the space to connect with their inner knowing and wisdom.
The beautiful thing about yoga nidra is that there is nothing “to do” but simply rest. You cannot do it wrong - and everyone can do it.
Practicing yoga nidra regularly:
- helps you sleep better
- soothes the nervous system
- restores peace and rejuvenation to the body
- brings you back home to yourself
At Daring to Rest, we see women as key agents of change when they are well-rested.
Shelagh's presence and integrity creates an intuitive and deeply nourishing rest journey. Her voice and guidance invite you to come home to self with ease.— Leisha
