About the Course

Rebekah Loper is the author of The A-Zs of Worldbuilding: Building a Fictional World From Scratch. In 2018, she launched the Worldbuilding NaNo Prep Course over email, then decided to go bigger! The course is still--and will always be--free!

The Worldbuilding NaNo Prep Course is not as in-depth as The A-Zs of Worldbuilding. This is a brief overview of worldbuilding to help you get the bare bones of your world in place so you can continue developing it as you begin writing your story.

For the months of September and October, you'll get access to three lessons per week to guide you through creating a cohesive, extensive world just in time for you to churn out those 50,000 words in November. Even if you’re not participating in NaNo, you’re more than welcome to join the prep course!

  • Anyone who is plotting the next novel, or even has started writing / pantsing it should dedicate a few minutes each day to work through this course. It could help trigger ideas for your WIP [work in progress] or help you build a richer multifaceted world. I know my ms [manuscript] benefited from it.
