Find Your Way To A Healthier Relationship With Food - A Guided 8 Week Intuitive Eating Program - Spring 2019
Are you ready to become an Intuitive Eater?
This program will help you FIND YOUR WAY when it comes to food, nutrition and health. I’ll help you sort fact from fiction, and give you the tools to commit to a life of freedom from diets and diet culture — while still honouring your health!
In my integrative practice, I work with adults who are ready to move beyond the number on the scale. If you're tired of counting and tracking, but still believe you need to lose weight to be healthy, loved, or accepted, this program is for you.
Intuitive Eating is a non-diet approach that doesn't rely on meal plans, calories or macros. You'll make peace with food, learn to honour your body's hunger and fullness cues and leave guilt and shame behind you.
Beginning May 1st, this online program runs for 8 weeks. Every two weeks, you’ll get a new video lesson, homework and handouts along with membership in a private Facebook group where we can share, support and ask questions.
What will be covered?
A “deep dive” introduction to Intuitive Eating. We’ll start with the foundations and then go further into the details, so you have all you need to understand this approach and be successful. I’ll share examples from my own life, and my 14-years of practice as a Registered Dietitian and Naturopathic Doctor.
A thorough review of weight science and why diets don’t work. In my practice, this is where people trip up. They’re lured back by the promises of diet culture. I want you to get OFF that hamster wheel.
How to really LISTEN to your body’s hunger and fullness cues and truly learn to manage emotional hunger with confidence and self-compassion.
How to honour your health with gentle, evidence-based nutrition instead of arbitrary food rules that change regularly.
- Most importantly: learn to LOVE your body, even if you don’t like it…yet.
What's included in the program?
For only $199 CDN, you'll get access to:
- 4 videos (10-15 mins) that will discuss the week's theme and course material.
- Research to support the topic we're discussing (ie. weight science).
- A set of handouts that will guide you through self-assessments and reflection.
- A list of recommended reading.
- Lifetime access to all of the above!
- Membership in a private Facebook group for the duration of the program where you can share stories and ask questions.
I hope you'll join me and learn to make peace with food and love the body you're in.

What if I'm not quite ready to leave dieting behind me?
That's ok! Finding freedom from dieting and diet culture isn't a linear path. This program will give you the confidence to move forward at your own pace!
I've tried intuitive eating before, and I always seem to drift back to dieting.
I see this a lot in my practice. It's very common to feel drawn back to what you know (ie dieting) when you feel like you're free falling. Becoming an intuitive eater takes practice, and this program will give you a deeper understanding of your relationship with food and how to change it. I can't promise you won't face bumps in the road, but you will feel better prepared!
I'm ready to leave dieting behind, but I still need to lose weight for health reasons. Will this program help me lose weight?
The focus of any intuitive eating program should always be health, and health can't be determined by the way someone looks, or the number on the scale. Some people may experience changes in weight (up or down), but that can't (and shouldn't be) the focus of the program. You can't develop a healthy relationship with food if weight loss is still your primary goal! What intuitive eating CAN do is help you to work towards your health goals by making food an ally, not the enemy.
I have an eating disorder and am currently in treatment. Can I still take your program?
Intuitive Eating is part of the recovery process for most eating disorders, but this program can't (and shouldn't) take the place of professional in/out patient treatment. I recommend waiting 6-12 months after you've been discharged to start this program.
