About the Course Tutor
"My name is Susan and if you don’t know already, I am an art tutor and published author of two printmaking related books: Learning Linocut (an Amazon no.1 bestseller!) and Learn to Earn from Printmaking. There is a third on the way in 2018/2019!
I set up my company 'Magenta Sky' in 2003, just after I left university as a part-time venture. It began as a way of selling my crafts and also teaching printmaking courses and workshops in various arts venues.
Since then I have expanded to teach more classes and workshops, including a unique online printmaking course ‘Introduction to Printmaking’. This online course includes one of the modules from this longer online programme.
All of my current printmaking / craft books, my longer online course and my printmaking blog can be found on my website
I hope you find this particular course helpful in terms of giving you plenty of ideas and ways to find inspiration for your prints. Deciding what to work on is something that I know many of my students struggle with (often insisting that they 'can't draw'). Therefore I am really excited to be able to share this course with you."

I am a beginner to printmaking - will this help me?
Absolutely! This will help you to think about what to use as your subject matter for your prints and get your creativity flowing. Once you have a bunch of ideas, you can them move onto learning the individual techniques and translating your ideas into prints... (See other courses for the techniques - this course does not show you the individual printmaking methods).
