Courageous Conversations

Do you experience unresolved conflicts in your relationships?

Have you ever postponed difficult conversations because it seems easier to avoid than to dive in?

Would you like to step out of a space of fear and into one where you are empowered and resilient in all your relationships?

This course offers you tools for being able to build connection in the face of adversity and interpersonal strain, and dives into a deeper understanding of how we can— as individuals— contribute to building a stronger culture of compassion and consent in our communities.

With this class you will be able to:

  • Create both a safe space and a brave space for yourself.

  • Identify the fears that are holding you back from difficult conversations.

  • Get in touch with the motivation to have courageous conversations.

  • Recognise your body’s ‘red alert’ system that sabotages your ability to be present in challenging situations.

  • Model and encourage others to have courageous conversations.

  • Express your needs and boundaries with confidence.

Who Am I?

There was a time when I thought I was good about expressing my needs and my boundaries.

Then, one day, I realised I actually sucked at it. What I was good at was avoiding any conversation that might be upsetting— and then shouting when my unspoken boundaries weren't respected, and sulking loudly when my needs weren't met.

And, not surprisingly, that wasn't great for my relationships.

So I decided to learn better ways of communicating. I've been lucky to work with some amazing teachers along the way!

Working with my coaching clients, I started to see that I'm not the only person who has struggled with this. So, I began to develop this as a short workshop, one that's now been offered at conferences, festivals, intentional dance events, colleges, and for private groups. I'm very excited to be offering this course online, so anyone anywhere can access these tools!
