Make Blogging Fun Again

Are you burned out on writing the same stuff over and over? Exhausted trying to follow all the rules of blogging? In the next 40 days, we're going to make blogging fun again. Join us!

Hi.

I'm Micah.

I'm a recovering rule-follower and people pleaser.

Oh yeah... I'm a writer too, but every time I sit down to write I get overrun by a bunch of self-imposed rules floating around in my head — rules about what to write about and how to write it, how much I should stay on topic, how seriously I should take myself.

You know what I'm talking about, don't you?

After a while, it’s easier to not write at all than to try to keep all the (self-imposed) rules popping up every few moments to tell you what you SHOULD be doing.

THERE'S GOOD NEWS:

IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.

Over the next 40 days, you and I are going on a journey together. We're going to learn to put our fingers in our ears to drown out all those voices telling us that WE'RE DOING IT WRONG, and we're going to get in the habit of writing something we can be proud of.

WE'RE GOING TO MAKE BLOGGING FUN AGAIN.

Here's how it's going to work:

To help you get started, we'll kick things off with few things to make your blogging life easier -- a few of my go-to resources, links, and answers to common questions.

Then, starting the day after you enroll, you'll get a fresh new writing prompt every two days for the next 40 days. There will give you a starting point to get the words flowing.

(Why not every day? Because trying to blog every day for a month is a good way to get burned out and not write for a year. Trust me. I've tried it.)

You'll also get weekly pep talks, where I remind you that you're doing a good job (because you are!) and that whatever you write is good (because it is!) and that we're here to make blogging fun.

Finally, you'll get access to the a private "Make Blogging Fun Again" Facebook group, where you can share your fun new blog posts, read what other people are writing, ask questions, and find solidarity.
