You have been called to be lead!
Maybe you do not feel like it, and there are times when you experience a sense of confusion about your role and leadership abilities. Occasionally, when demands are made, you might even wonder what you got yourself into. You think that your position at your ministry or church is solely at the discretion of the senior leadership. In some respects it is but there is a lot more to it than that, and you know that too and so...
You are interested in becoming a better leader!
That's the reason why you are at this page. You are not contented being where you are; you feel the need to grow and you are exploring learning possibilities.
ESCALATE is about taking you higher.
There was a time when steps or staircases were all that were available to take people up. Back then buildings were not very high, just a few floors up. There was a serious limitation as to how high people could go. Tall buildings - skyscrapers - like we have today, did not exist. Today we have buildings ascending into the clouds and with the help of escalators and elevators people can move to different levels in quicker time and with less effort.
In a nutshell, that is what ESCALATE is about - taking you higher, more quickly.
Here's an acronym to help you remember:
E - Elevate your calling (go higher)
S - Stand firm (be committed)
C - Carry the load ( share responsibility)
A - Accountability (who are you accountable to?)
L - Lead like Jesus (servant leadership)
A - Attitude (determines your altitude)
T - Try and try again (dealing with failure)
E - Energize (create momentum through passion and motivation)
