It is designed for parents who want to teach their child to read and write. If you have a child who is ready to learn to read and write then this is for YOU! You can enroll anytime and start teaching your child the alphabet letters and letter sounds and give them a head start to learning.

What age group is this for?

We have children as young as 4 years old however most children are between 5 and 6 years old. It is also suitable for 7 year old's with learning difficulties.

What else do I need to complete this eCourse?

You will need Internet access, a computer, a printer, basic pen, pencils, paper and a willing child who is ready to start learning the ABC's. You also need to be able to print the attachments as a pdf.

What teaching experience do I need?

None. If you can read and write you can deliver this eCourse to your child very successfully by following the simple step by step lessons.

How many lessons are there and what is included?

There are 72 step by step lessons that include all your worksheets for each lesson. There is also bonus material, letter pronunciation audio files, audio stories, an audio ABC song and links to our own online learning activities.

How long will the course take to complete?

It is not how fast you complete the lessons, it is how well you teach the letter sounds and letter formation. The duration of this course completely depends upon each individual. As a rough guide, and if you complete one lesson a day 5 days a week, your child could master all letters, letter sounds, numbers 1 - 20 and basic words within 3 months. Don't worry though if they take a little longer, it is better to take longer and achieve excellent results than to rush through the course and cause serious learning problems later on. These problems have cropped up over and over again in the main stream education where literacy and numeracy skills are often rushed and below standard grades are often the end result.
