My name is Annetta Ribken and I'm an award-winning content editor.

I specialize in working with indie writers and have over one hundred and fifty successful indie books under my belt. Many of my authors have gone on to win buckets of their own awards. I absolutely love my job--but I have learned through working with these mad-talented writers, not everyone is as enamored of the editing process as I am.

It's true! Some people actually hate the editing process, can you imagine? But the issue is it's really difficult to know where to start, what to do, and how to do it. It can seem overwhelming.

I aim to help you with that.

Content Editing With Netta offers lessons on how to look at your manuscript and get it into shape.  We'll walk step by step through cleaning up your masterpiece to its best advantage, saving you tons of money when you engage professional editors.

You've spent hours, weeks, months--perhaps even years, writing the best story of which you're capable. Now is not the time to pull back. Now is the time to forge ahead, and give the story what it deserves.

Each lesson goes over particular problem areas and tells you what to look for when editing. You can go through each lesson one by one, or choose a topic that's giving you fits with suggestions on what to look for and how to fix it. You'll find helpful worksheets and best of all, personal support for specific questions through the comments function. That's right. You have a question, I'll answer it right away.

Take a look at what I have to offer, then take the plunge to a better story!

You'll need a pen, a notebook, and an open mind. That's it.

Come on! Let's get started!

The Final Word
  • I now have worked with several editors—some good, others great—but I have a special place in my heart for Annetta. She was always there with a joke, a bright suggestion, and encouragement. She’s much more than an editor; she’s a partner and a teacher.

    — Peter Giglio, author of Lesser Creatures, A Spark in the Darkness, and Sunfall Manor
  • [Annetta's] insight, sharp eye and scary intuitive feel for plot and character is awe-inspiring. I’ve learned so much from her it’s not only made me a better writer, but taught me to love the process.

    — Patti Larsen, author of The Hayle Coven novels, The Hunted Series, and The Clone Trilogy
  • In only a few rounds of editing, Annetta showed me how to fix the problems, while holding my hand through the painful parts. Not only did I end up with a well-edited novel I can now publish with confidence, but in the process learned my problem areas and how to avoid them with my next book.

    — Jordan L. Hawk, author of the Whyborne and Griffin series, and the SPECTR series.

Will you read and critique my manuscript in this course?

I'm sorry, that's not included in the course. You'll have to hire me first. This course is designed to teach YOU how to take a look at your manuscript and fix what you can before hiring a professional.
