Backyard Bird Photography

In this online workshop I will share all my tips and techniques for photographing birds both small and large, still and in flight.  This workshop consists of two video lectures:

Lecture 1: Camera, lenses and other equipment / Camera Settings / Setting up a backyard photo "studio" to attract and photograph birds/ Holding the camera / Composition and post processing, Troubleshooting your image results

Lecture 2: Photographing birds in flight: both large and small / Panning / more troubleshooting and post processing tips.

In between watching the lectures, students are encouraged to post images of their bird photos as well as ask for feedback and guidance and of course post any questions that they have.

This online workshop has open enrollment - that means that as soon as you register you will have immediate access to all the lectures.

This online learning platform has plenty of space for you to post photos & questions on each of the lessons and you’ll be able to interact with your fellow students and of course with me.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a beginner - is this class too advanced for me?

No not at all! I do recommend that you have an understanding of how your camera works (read your manual!) and a general understanding of the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO and I will provide some resources and reading materials for help on that.

How long will I have access to the workshop?

The class will remain accessible to you for at least 6 months.

Can I download the video lectures to my own computer?

yes, you will be able to download the videos to your own computer. Please be advised that the videos are large and download time will vary depending on your connection speed.

I have another question how can I contact you?

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Send me an email at sue@suebleiweiss.com.
