Mini Clinic: Heeling Perfect Position - Working

Heeling is a complex exercise requiring a lot of thought for an extended period of time. I break heeling down into three parts: focal point, engagement and position. The dog must understand exactly where position is and that it’s their responsibility to maintain it for the entire heeling pattern. This Clinic will break heeling down so that we can focus on teaching position in a way that is clear to the dog. We will teach it like a trick! Dogs think it’s a fun game which helps to reduce pressure and promotes attitude. Dogs that truly understand position have beautiful, tight heeling.

Week 1: You will have access to content and video explaining how I isolate position and how I start teaching it. Working participants will have one week to view the material and submit video and questions which I will review.

Week 2: I will release content and video that builds on the first week. Working participants will again have one week to view the material and submit more video and questions.

I’m going to submit material that covers a number of steps so that people of all levels can participate.

Working spots are limited. This first Clinic is going to be a trial. If all goes well and people like the format, I will present more. If not, I can change the format or just stick to webinars. So please give me your feedback!!!
