CourseCraft

A collaboration by Amber Elliot, Jenny Hofmeister, and Allie McCathren.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. People in our country have always had to fight for equality, and Justice Ginsburg was nothing short of a titan in that fight.

We created this project to channel our feelings about this loss, and to do something to help in the fight for equality. This mini quilt of RBG's famous "Dissent" collar perfectly expresses our love for her as well as our feelings about the current status quo. We thoroughly dissent.

All proceeds from the sale of this pattern and the corresponding kit will go directly to The Brennan Center for Justice.

The Brennan Center for Justice

The Brennan Center for Justice is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit that works to build an America that is democratic, just, and free -- for all.

Inspired by Justice William J. Brennan Jr.'s devotion to core democratic freedoms, the Brennan Center works to strengthen democracy by ensuring everyone has equal voting rights, fighting gerrymandering, and working to end mass incarceration. It is dedicated to making sure that the Constitution includes all under its protections, making our country a place where everyone truly has justice, equality, and liberty.

From brennancenter.org:

"As an independent, nonpartisan law and policy organization, the Brennan Center conducts rigorous research to identify problems and provide in-depth empirical findings and compelling analyses of pressing legal and policy issues. We also pioneer and champion policy solutions, such as automatic voter registration and small donor public financing."

"When will there be enough women on the Supreme Court? When there are nine."
