Do you love the look of beautiful decorative headbands on newborns, babies, and children? Have you ever wanted to create your own? If so, then this is the course for you!

My name is Becky, and I'm an artist, art teacher, and a newborn photographer.  I designed this course with newborn photographers and moms in mind.  We just love that little extra something special in our photos.  New moms that come into my photography studio are excited to select from a variety of headbands for their baby girls to wear. I also use these headbands for milestones sessions; for older babies and children.  If you are a photographer or a craft enthusiast, I think you will really enjoy this course.

The more headbands that I create, the more inspired I become for new designs. Follow along with me in videos, where I will show you step by step, how to create headband features in a variety of colors. You will view my process from start to finish. By the end of the course, you will feel confident in making your own original designs. And you'll have several headbands that you've already made to start your own collection.

There are so many different fabrics and natural and organic materials that can be used to create your headbands. I will show you exactly what to buy and where to buy it. In this course you will see that I made a shopping list for you to print, and provided links for shopping online.

Learning how to sculpt fabric flowers and handmade paper flowers is so much fun! I also find it relaxing to listen to music while I create. Imagine having a photography studio filled with your own headbands. Or imagine the beautiful gifts that you could create for others.

I hope you will join me! Click the Enroll button below this video to have access to the course right away!

Tiebacks & Photography

When I add baby outfits to my client closet, I like to make my own special headbands to match.  Here are a few of the headbands that you'll see in the videos.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have access to the course?

Once you've enrolled and paid, you'll have access to the course material for the lifetime of the course; for as long as I continue to run Decorative Newborn & Baby Headbands, and guaranteed access for AT LEAST one year after you enroll! Plus you'll be able to download the Supplies List and some Lesson Notes to keep forever. You can watch all of the videos in one weekend, or take your time and go at your own pace. It's your choice.

I still have a question, how can I contact you?

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Send me an email at rebeccaleighstudio@gmail.com.

How much will it cost to buy supplies to complete the course?

This will vary because some of the tools on the list you may already have, such as scissors and a glue gun. But I believe that you will spend a minimum of $25 on fabrics/materials to complete the course. Chances are you may want to purchase more materials when you get into it! Remember that if you are able to shop inside of a fabric store, you can have fabric cut to any size you want. Small cuts will cost less, allowing more fabric types to fit a budget. When you shop for fabrics online, you may need to purchase a 1 yard minimum, of each fabric. I recommend selecting one or two color schemes to start and later add to your collection.

My child enjoys crafting, is this course something that he/she would be able to do independently?

Flower sculpting involves using a hot glue pen or hot glue gun. If your child is not old enough to safely use hot glue, then an adult will need to assist with gluing. The paper flowers can be made with PVA glue, so this is safe for children old enough to use glue. One method includes using a heat tool, which should also only be done with adult supervision and in a well ventilated area.

Do I need sewing or prior experience to complete the course?

No. There is no sewing involved, and no other prior crafting experience is needed.

How long is the course?

The course has over 5 hours and 45 minutes of videos. You will most likely watch the first section, then purchase the materials that you will need to complete the course. And then you can watch all of the remaining videos at your own pace. There is no time-frame in which you need to finish the videos. There are very thorough written descriptions of materials and tools, as well as online links to many of these items. And the course contains photos and descriptions of topics discussed in the videos.
