How to Create an Online Course | CourseCraft 101
Settings Are Not Very Fun
Boring but necessary. The first thing I suggest you do before you create a course is check out the settings. Your account setting and creator profile settings is the place where you can edit your profile, set up custom branding, link a payment provider, set up mailing list integration and much more. So it's a great place to start! Even if you don't need these settings right away, you'll know where to find them later.
Your Account Settings
I think the easiest way to explain the parts of your profile is to just go through them one by one. Oh and if you're looking for this page, hover on the account menu in the upper right corner and click account settings.
1. Basic Info
This is the name and email address you used when you created your account. It can be changed anytime.
2. Notification Preferences
Set your email preferences here and decide if you want to receive email notifications for things like new enrollments, new comments and new form submissions.
3. Change Password
This one is pretty self explanatory! If you need to change your password for any reason, you can do it here.
4. Social Login
Connect your Twitter, Facebook or Google account here and log in without a password.
Your Creator Profile
Your creator profile has everything you need to develop a style and show your personality on CourseCraft.
1. Profile Photo
People want to see who they're buying from! A profile photo helps show students that you're a real person.
2. Profile Heading and About You
These 2 sections will show up on your profile. The profile heading is meant to be a quick introduction and the About You section is where you can write your full bio.
3. Social Stuff
Be sure to enter your social media accounts here. This gives students multiple ways to contact you.
4. Custom Branding
Enabling custom branding allows you to brand your e-courses with your own logo and colour scheme. We'll talk about this in more detail later.
