How I Grow Great Artists
All of my students are awesome little artists. This video shows a sampling of my students at work in my studio and a bit of what it looks like in my online video lessons.
Sure, these kids have been with me for years. And sure, I can help a lot more if I'm sitting at the same table as you because I can remind you of things that I've taught you, but my goal is to get you to think and plan like an artist, and arm you with a heap of knowledge of ways you can add to your drawings to make them super DUPER cooler.
If you enjoy working with me via these video lessons and communicating through the comments section, FB group or email, then you'll love what I have for you at the end of this challenge. Because I can surely help you become as awesome at drawing and painting as the students I have here in the studio!

“I think the way you structured it was perfect - starting with colour mixing, then moving onto rainbows and silouette paintings. I also liked how the last lesson on browns also included drawing cute animals :-) We spent about 1-3 hours per lesson (depending on the child lol), and the video length was great as it held their interest for a good amount of time (Ariel always watched them at least twice!). Having a week to get the lessons done was good too as any less time would’ve been hard to do in the holidays with the great weather and the kids wanting to be outside a lot. I certainly think it was able to cater for many ages and abilities and perfect for family groups to do together.”— Lauree Lohnes, NZ
thank you kim, you have helped my daughter immensely with her confidence in drawing! we are hooked.— Megan J., Ontario, Canada
Kim, your challenge is so good! The most therapeutic hour I spent all weekend was doing those drawings. Feels so good. Your teaching is so easy to follow, and so relatable. You make it so easy to do great drawings. I can see why all your students love you!"— Natalie Coombe, Auckland, NZ
I have just signed us up for the 6 month package and am feeling so excited. The 4-week drawing challenge has been such a neat experience, sitting down for a short, directed art lesson with my young kids once a week - I was feeling sad it was coming to an end! This is the perfect way for all my kids (and me) to do an art lesson (not just chose one child) and they're always more enthusiastic and willing to give it a go when I sit down with them. I just LOVE to see everyone's very different creations given the same directive. You have made the course so affordable Kim, it was a no-brainer - I won't stress have to if we're having an off-week or if its only 1 or 2 of us that participate. I so want my kids to grow with a love of drawing and creating that they will take into adulthood, and this course will help me to more easily facilitate it instead of putting 'doing art together' into the 'not-today'/too-hard basket.— M. Challies, Hamilton, NZ
